Make a note in your diary and come along to our giant Book Fair 26 and 27 November to buy your holiday reading and Christmas presents. We have some brand new children’s books.
We bought reflective vests for Sunny Days pre-school, so when the children walk in town they will be easily seen and thus safer. We have also given financial help to the Helensville Youth Club and to Lifeline.
We hosted an Orientation evening for our Lions area and our BBQ Trailer was busy at the Museum for Arts in the Ville weekend. The Club visited the Helensville Museum one evening. It is well worth a visit if you haven’t yet been.
Since Hurricane Matthew devastated Haiti, Lions International (LCIF) gave them an immediate emergency grant and 2,000 medical and food kits to residents in need.
Next year Lions will have served their communities internationally for 100 years. To celebrate, Lions worldwide were asked to help with a service challenge by serving more than 100million people by June 2018. This challenge has already met! Helensville Lions, retaking part in this challenge.
