The Art Centre will reopen on Wednesday, 20 January 2021.
The first exhibition, Wood and Wool, featuring the work of wood artist Ray Scott and wool artist Fiona McBride, will run from Saturday 23 January to Sunday 21 February. As an extra bonus, you will be able to meet the artists at the gallery on Sundays from 10am to 4pm. A workshop/class schedule is under construction for Term 1 2021 so keep an eye on the Facebook page.
Hours are 10am – 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
Award
Congratulations to Art Centre Board chairperson Leda Daniel whose abstract artwork won a Merit Award at the Hibiscus and Bays Art Awards held at the Estuary Art Centre, Orewa.
The judges commented that Leda’s piece was “A joyous and playful painting, bold in scale and shape, with beautiful jewel-like colours.”
