October was a big month, as several milestone anniversaries were celebrated in Helensville. Hearty congratulations to:
Mt Tabor Trust: After the Trust was established 40 years ago in Williamson Ave, Grey Lynn, homes were opened at South Head then Helensville. People with intellectual disabilities and those who assist them, live together and are equally responsible for the life of their home and community.
St John Youth: The Helensville branch has been in operation for 30 years. Its programmes help young New Zealanders develop first aid, health care, leadership and life skills. Penguins are aged 6 to 8, Cadets are aged 8 to 18.
Sunny Days Community Preschool: The preschool has been open for 30 years. It provides early childhood education and care service for children from Helensville and the surrounding areas. It is licensed for 28 children over two years and six children under two years of age.
Helensville Women and Family Centre: The Centre has been open for 25 years. It provides counselling and support in response to the needs of the South Kaipara community.
