Maria Co from Dementia Auckland is to give a talk at Craigweil House to raise public awareness about dementia issues, Topics Maria will cover include: Dementia Auckland support services; understanding dementia; forgetfulness vs memory loss; and tips on communication. There will be a Q&A session after the presentation.
Maria has a background in Psychology and Nursing. She has been with Dementia Auckland for over six years, the past two as an educator. She is currently working on her master’s thesis in nursing, focusing on the lived experiences of younger people with dementia and their spouses.
