SUMMARY:Fascinating Fungi -Workshop
DESCRIPTION:We’ve all seen Fungi growing either in the garden or when out walking but most of us generally pass by without giving them a second thought. In reality fungi are key players in many aspects of our lives and the environment. \nIn this 2hr workshop Matthew Priestley from Brotherwood Tree Care will be giving an introduction to the incredible kingdom of fungi. \nLearn more about this fascinating subject and how you can harness the power of fungi in the garden or on the farm; including how to start growing your own gourmet mushrooms. \nAutumn is a fantastic time to see many fungi producing mushrooms\, so come along to this informative workshop followed by a walk around the Sculpture Gardens to see what fungi can be found. \nMatthew holds several Arboriculture qualifications gained both in NZ and the UK and also has a BSc in Botany & Microbiology as well as having many years’ experience within this field. \nThese relaxed and interactive events are very popular so booking is definitely recommended as spaces are limited (see below for booking details). \nAfterwards\, you will also be able to continue strolling around the beautiful 1Km sculpture trail which has over 40 marvellous pieces created by local and international artists for our 2023 exhibition on display as well as our recently installed 2.5Km nature trail. * \nOur knowledgeable and friendly staff will also be on hand to help with any garden related questions and refreshments can be purchased from our cute little coffee shop. \n *Please note: Trails are not suitable for wheelchairs \nor walking frames. \n
