Good on ya Mark

Great to see Mark Dennis featuring on TV 1’s ‘Good Sorts’ on 22 July and in the July ‘Valley Voice’ cover article (spare free copies available at Helensville Copy and Print). Described as ‘time poor’, because he has 3 kids under 5, a wife and a full-time job to occupy him, he’s being celebrated for establishing the fruit and vege swap stand outside his house in Puriri Street so he could share his spare fruit and veges. Helensville came on board, then Parakai, inspiring people all around the country to do the same. It’s no small feat, starting a national movement, especially when it involves handing on tips and advice, but Mark is taking it all in his stride – he’s just happy that people like the idea.
