Helensville Christmas Parade 8th December

9.30am Santa at RSA. Photos for $5.
Bouncy castle, entertainment, ice cream, candy floss, face painting at Creek Lane (by toilets) Midday Parade starts from Railway Station, through town centre to Museum in Mill Road. 1.00pm Food, entertainment and Santa at Museum. Concert featuring Troy Kingi. Lolly scramble. Colouring Competition winners announced, prizes presented. 3.00pm kapahaka performance by Kahurangi Ki Kaipara
FREE BUSES TO CONCERT
After Christmas Parade from 1pm Ritchies will pick up along the way to Museum, starting from The Grand Hotel. Returning from Museum from 3.30pm. Just wave and bus will stop for you.
PARADE ENTRIES
Forms available from Library and CAB. Late entries will be accepted.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
For the Christmas Parade event to run smoothly (and legally), lots of volunteers are needed. A variety of tasks and time slots between 8am and 4pm. Even half an hour will be helpful. Younger people age 14 up - dress up as a clown or fairy and accompany Santa’s sleigh, handing out lollies. Please register your availability at Helensville Library or Helensville CAB.
COMPETITIONS
Not too late to enter. Entries on the day will be accepted. Lots of entries received for the bike, trike and scooter decorating. Come on parents and seniors – come and decorate your baby carriage or mobility scooter. Join in the parade to show off your masterpiece. Entry forms at Library or CAB. Cash prizes.
GAZEBOS AND MARQUEES to borrow, needed for shade at Museum during concert. Please attach ownership ID and deliver to Museum by 9am on Parade day.
