Throughout term 2 Years 5 to 8 have been studying sustainability and our art project under this theme was Trash2Fashion. As individuals or teams students made clothes from recycled materials. On Wednesday July 5th we participated in our celebratory parade. We had such an impressive array we are disappointed the Auckland Council no longer funds the regional event.
This term our Year 7 and 8s are continuing to explore the world coding and robotics with Makey-makey and our brand new HP mini laptops. We are thrilled to be able to continue to supply quality one to one devices to all our students from year 5 up. And with our latest acquisition we are now able to provide our year 3/4 teachers with a class set of next books to share across 3 classes.
We believe that by supplying these devices we are providing all students with equal opportunities to develop strong and safe internet practises before moving into college. And now that we finally have access to fibre broadband we are able to introduce students in a controlled environment to a range of software that will help them with their continuing studies in the 21st century.
