Looking back in time Helensville Community News 2012 Issue 2011 Helensville Christmas Parade

Firstly I believe the standard of floats was far better than previous years. Possibly assisted by the vast number of new entrants. Maybe next year the Helensville & District Business Assoc., who put on the parade, will enter a float? There was only 1 car that managed to slip into the parade undecorated and 1 truck that was marginal. The judging was closely fought especially between the schools. The top 4 seperated by only 1 point each. Well done. My personal favourite was the sports car, which was not judged, but was well decorated and a couple of clowns on board.

As always Santa takes the limelight in bright red fashion at the Helensville parade.

Thanks to this years committee, Alison and Warren Bradley, Lyn Curran, Nicola Keen-Biggelaar, Rhonda and Noel Harris.
