Kaukapakapa School news - Pony Club Ribbon Day
This year Kaukapakapa School sent a team of four to the Interschool Intermediate Ribbon Day held at Clevedon Pony Club. The school was represented by Libby Berrington-Hume, Amber Donaldson, Troy Gregerson and Emily Stroobant. The competition for the day was split into four rings, 1 Open/Maiden ring ridden in by Libby Berrington-Hume and 3 Novice rings with Amber Donaldson, Troy Gregerson and Emily Stroobant riding in these rings. When a rider was placed with a ribbon they collated points for their school. It was a great morning with Emily taking out the Supreme Champion Ribbon for the flat classes. The jumping classes were after lunch and Troy and Emily both won a Champion Ribbon. The school took out the overall prize with 53 points competing against 13 other Auckland schools.
