On the 14 April more than 30 volunteers braved the horrible weather and got together for a big clean up at the north end of Muriwai beach off Wilson road, with some coming from as far away as Tokoroa. We filled two trailers in a couple of hours!
My aim is to encourage and motivate others not to litter, to clean up their surroundings, keep our beaches clean and meet lots of amazing people while we’re at it.
Big thanks to Sea Cleaners for supplying us with our bags and removing all our rubbish. Those guys are amazing.
