Volunteering is a great way to pay forward to the community. A big shout out to Kim and Sam McNamara who have been very busy in many ways volunteering in different roles in our community over the years. They have been busy sourcing raffle goodies and have placed their second lot of three Kaipara Coastguard Raffles in our community with a summer BBQ fundraiser soon to happen. You will also see them down at the beach handing out Coastguard information to those that are interested.
For the last year Kim and Sam have been volunteering for Westpac helicopter, a service that we need living in a rural environment. Sam and Kim were recognised by Westpac recently for their continued efforts. The pair also work in with the local fire station helping out with various events. Recently Sam was recognised by St John’s for 200 hours volunteer hours. Kim is a medical responder for the local fire station. Thank you Kim and Sam for your efforts in our community.
