Glass Artist at the Kaukapakapa Library

Meet Kari Lindsay-Beale, a glass and glass jewellery artist, whose work is an expression of her love of nature, colour and harmony. First introduced to glass in 2008, Kari now creates award-winning pieces as “KARILEA - glass with soul”, and uses mainly torch worked and fused glass. Each work is a representation of balance; light and dark, transparent and opaque, strong and delicate, masculine and feminine. Kari describes the process as an art form which can be tremendously rewarding, requiring both a willingness to experiment and an understanding of alchemy.
