Supporting local schools is crucial for the development and well-being of a community. I am grateful to be part of a supportive and generous community that gets behind us in so many ways. Our school whaanau coach and manage sports teams and provide expertise and support for our cultural groups; we have wonderful local businesses and individuals who sponsor sports teams with kit, fuel, and equipment; a team of retired volunteers who generously give their time to support students as reader/writers; many wonderful external organisations who support us to provide additional care to our vulnerable students; a fantastic school Board who have a wide range of skills and experience, and we also have large numbers of people who support events such as the school production and our Ag Day – donating to our raffles, providing costumes, and even just showing up to swell the crowd. Your support is invaluable.
