Kaipara College continues to shine as Helensville’s local secondary school, offering students a wealth of opportunities to achieve and thrive. With a strong focus on academic excellence, personal growth, and community pride, the college is proud to see its students excelling in so many different areas.
Sport has been a real highlight this year, with Kaipara College teams achieving outstanding results across rugby, netball, basketball, football, and other codes. These successes reflect not only talent on the field, but also teamwork, commitment, and the support of dedicated coaches and parents.
The arts are equally flourishing. The recent production of Macbeth was a triumph, showcasing the skill and creativity of our students in acting, stagecraft, and design. Meanwhile, the Winter Art Exhibition brought together an impressive collection of student prints, paintings, and visual works, providing the community with a glimpse into the depth of talent being nurtured at the school.
Our music programme is also producing excellent results with students taking out the Musicianship and Best Song awards at the regional Smokefree Rockquest Finals and six students winning a studio recording session through the PlayItStrange songwriting competitions.
Beyond academics and the arts, Kaipara College offers a wide range of extracurricular activities that give every student the chance to explore new interests and develop confidence. From cultural groups and leadership opportunities to outdoor education and service projects, students are encouraged to find their passions and contribute to school life.
