The Citizen’s Advice Bureau in Helensville is set to introduce a budgeting advice service, to add to the traditional information supplied in Helensville and across New Zealand by the network of bureaus.
Joining the CAB team Alan offers the benefit of twenty-two years practical experience in the fields of consumer affairs and employment issues plus working in finance and mediation.
“This is a great boost to what our volunteers currently offer”, says Karen Rutherford, the CAB Helensville office manager. “Experience shows us that the skills coming on board with this new initiative will be sought after and appreciated”.
The benefit to the wider community will be a greater degree of public awareness about the difference sensible budgeting can make to families or individuals, on low incomes in particular.
The Helensville CAB is always on the lookout for volunteers wanting to give a little of their time and expertise to their community.
