North West Country Business Association Launches 2025 Business Awards

The North West Country Business Association is proud to announce the launch of the 2025 North West Business Awards, a celebration of the outstanding businesses, passionate entrepreneurs, and vibrant communities that make our region thrive.

We’re calling on locals to nominate their favourite businesses—those that go the extra mile, deliver exceptional service, and make the North West a better place to live, work, and explore. Whether it’s your go-to café, a trusted tradie, or a boutique that always delights, now’s the time to give them the recognition they deserve.

Business owners are also encouraged to enter the awards and showcase their achievements, innovation, and commitment to excellence. This is your chance to stand out, connect with the community, and be celebrated for the hard work you put in every day.

Special Category Awards

This year, we’re excited to highlight three special awards that honour exceptional contributions:

  • People’s Choice Award – Voted by the public, this award celebrates the most loved local business.
  • Customer Service Award – Recognising businesses that consistently deliver outstanding service.
  • High Performance Award – Celebrating businesses that demonstrate excellence in leadership, planning, and understanding their business.

Key Dates

Nominations and entries are now open and will close on 1 September 2025. Visit www.northwestcountry.co.nz to submit your nomination or enter your business.

Spotlight on Destination Tourism

As we celebrate business excellence, we’re also turning our focus to destination tourism—showcasing the North West as a must-visit region. From thrilling adventure locations and top-notch eateries to pristine beaches and harbours and unique regional events, the North West offers unforgettable experiences for locals and visitors alike.

We’re proud to be working with Tataki Auckland Unlimited to develop a Destination Management Plan that will put the North West firmly on the map. Together, we’re building a future where our region is recognised not just for its business brilliance, but also for its natural beauty, cultural richness, and tourism potential.
