This month saw the end of our Lions year when we had a fun evening for the changeover of our Officers.
It was a busy month for us. Firstly hosting our Lions District Young Speechmakers Contest with 12 entrants. The standard of speeches was exceptionally high and the judges had a very difficult time finding a winner. We made up 50 packed lunches for the event and thank Kaipara College for allowing us to use their premises.
The Tough Guy and Doll Challenge took place at Rautawhiri Park and we served sausages to the hungry entrants.
We manned a collection point outside Countdown for Dementia Auckland.
We supported the Helensville Playcentre; the Tennis Club; and the WEL Foundation for vulnerable children.
