Congratulations to Helensville business, Physio Flex, for taking out the Supreme Award at the inaugural North West Business Awards!
From 155 initial nominations, 46 finalists across eight categories and more than 7,000 public votes, Helensville firm Physio Flex was named the Supreme Winner of the inaugural North West Business Awards on Tuesday night.
More than 150 local business operators and their staff, friends and family enjoyed at a gala dinner held at The Riverhead with Wallace Chapman as MC. The winners for each of the eight categories were announced, including the People’s Choice award which went to Woodhill Mountain Bike Park.
In his welcoming comments, North West District Business Association chairman Tony Forlong said the awards were a chance to celebrate the diversity of business in the North West area and recognise some exceptional businesses. The awards were also sponsored by Thomas Consultants and The Riverhead.
Finalists were judged on a range of factors including a mystery shop, public voting and a submission of their choice prepared by each business. It was here that the North West creativity shone with submissions including videos, a fish and chip meal made out of chocolate and a business story told entirely on the lids of multiple boxes.

Hospitality – Unlicensed: Shark & Tatties, (Winner), Kaipara Fresh Fish Takeaways & Catering (Highly Commended)
Health & Beauty: Physio Flex (Winner) Christine’s Health Spa and Beauty (Highly Commended)
Rural Services: Country Meat Processors (Winner) , Dr Bob’s Veterinary Clinic (Highly commended)
Recreation: Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens (Winner), Woodhill Mountain Bike Park (Highly Commended)
Manufacturing & Trade: Helensville Mowers (Winner), Mitre 10 Helensville (Highly Commended)
