Jodie Allen
Jodie has always had a love of art and majored in art and photography while training to be a teacher. Jodie has been teaching art to children for 30 years, and has now begun to focus more fully on her own passion for art, & connect it with God’s purpose in her life.
She is currently exploring the mediums of oil painting and watercolour. Jodie is particularly inspired by nature and highlighting the beauty in God’s world around us through visual language, photography and painted images. She enjoys using natural materials, contrasts of light and movement to enhance her work. She works with the Holy Spirit guiding her and is committed to shining God’s light through her work, adding scripture & anointing each piece with God’s glory & love.
God often gives her visions to work from and each piece is new learning and healing on her journey. However, before Jodie picks up the brush to paint God has already chosen the person who the painting is for. A designer piece, from God, to touch, heal, guide or speak to someone, in some special way.
Jodie designs and sells customised photo frames also. Her work has been has been on display in exhibitions at the Estuary Art Gallery in Orewa, The Christian Arts Festival 2022 & 2023 and Festival One 2024!
God has blessed Jodie with a studio space to work in which she has turned into a gallery & in which she will be holding art workshops and teaching lessons this year.
