Our 3 for ALL exhibitionreally is a free for all, as weird and wonderful
exhibits, such as Abby Pearl’s crystallized skulls, make their way into the Art Centre to be viewed in the October. Abby has collected skulls since childhood and recently combined them with her love of growing crystals. Running until October 29, the idea of inviting absolutely anyone to exhibit in any media came after Centre Coordinator Pauline Denton realised that a $3-per-item fee would fund the Art Centre for a month’s exhibition. She was thrilled
with the variety of both the work and the exhibitors that streamed through the Art Centre’s doors and the exhibition soon became part of the Art Centre’s culture. The Art Centre, in the Basement of the War Memorial Hall, 49 Commercial Road, is open Tuesday-Friday 10-4.30 and Saturday’s 10-3. Entry is free and parking is via Porter Crescent. Pop in and be part of the voting in the ‘Peoples Choice Award’.
