Labour Weekend sees the return of the Christian Arts Fest, showcasing over 100 works by local artists and a wall of poetry in the ‘Lighthouse’ next to Magnify Church on Commercial Road. The works are done by Christians but, though many have a spiritual flavour, few are overtly Christian. Come along and vote for your favourites. There are also tables laden with crafts, clothing from ‘Witness Merch’, silk scarves and much, much more. Eftpos is available and there will be a coffee Cart on the Sunday and Monday of Labour Weekend as well as on November 1st & 2nd, where the exhibition continues. Woodturner Andrew Denton will also be present over Labour Weekend creating turned items and doing demonstrations at 11am and 2pm each day.

Works to arrive between 4.30 and 6.30 on Monday 20th October at the ‘Lighthouse’ next to Magnify Church, 118 Commercial Road, Helensville.
Everybody is invited to our opening event at 6pm on Friday 24th. This will take the form of an ‘Open Mic Poetry event’ at the Magnify Cafe, followed by the official opening at the ‘Lighthouse’, where you will have the opportunity to meet many of the artists.
