Local legend Ross “Mad Dog” King has just completed his 12th tandem skydive with Skydive Auckland, this time from an incredible 18,000ft, the highest tandem jump available in New Zealand.
Taking the leap with Tandem Master Elian, Ross embraced the ultimate adrenaline rush as he plummeted through the skies above West Auckland. Skydive Auckland’s 18,000ft tandem jump delivers up to 75 seconds of freefall at speeds exceeding 200km/h, making it one of the most exhilarating skydiving experiences in the country.
Across his dozen jumps, Ross has spent approximately 11 minutes freefalling. A devoted fan and supporter of Skydive Auckland, he visits the team every week. His familiar face has made him a much-loved figure among both staff and fellow jumpers.
