Sunday, 28 August, South Kaipara Harvest Market. 10-1pm, at Te Whare Oranga ô Parakai, 2/11 Parakai Ave. From freshly baked artisan bread to fine barista coffee and delicious homemade chutneys and sauces. This is a superb event put on by an enthusiastic community of local producers and artisans, for the South Kaipara Community. The market goes ahead, rain or shine!
Sunday, 28 August, Kids’ Kitchen Cooking Course. Three sessions held during the Harvest Market at Te Whare Oranga ô Parakai at 9am, 10am and 11:30am. While you wander the markets, you can leave your kids in the capable hands of our wonderful Chef Keryn who’ll be helping them cook up some yummy Kumara Waffles. These classes are immensely popular, so book early by emailing Keryn at kitchen@thrivekaipara.org.nz. From ages 3+, $5 each.
