The Helensville Floral Art Club held an interesting August competition with a difference, members were challenged to create a table arrangement using foliage only, with some manipulation of the leaves or foliage required. To add interest and creativity, arrangements could also include fruit, succulents, vegetables or cones.
The competition produced a wonderful variety of imaginative designs, demonstrating just how much can be achieved without using a single flower. Members showed great creativity in shaping, folding and arranging their chosen foliage to create eye-catching displays.
The entries were judged by Carmel Wilson, who had the difficult task of choosing the winning arrangements from the many creative designs.
