Arts in the Ville is right round the corner! Happening over Labour Weekend, 24th – 26th October.
What to look forward to: open artists’ studios in and around Helensville, ‘Out and About’ play activities for kids to lighten the tour for families this will be outside the Art Centre building hub alongside food trucks and live music.
The hub will also be the central location for Artist’s; Makers Market and our celebration event held at the War Memorial Hall on Labour Monday 5pm for the whole community to come enjoy.
Our regular and popular activities to look forward to and participate in for Arts in the Ville, Paper Boat Race created by Jeff Thomson ‘Kaipara Cup’ – make your own paper boat to enter the race held over the weekend! Prize for first place and for best designed boat! Wendy, winner from 2025 has already completed two designs we can’t wait to see the rest! The Art Centre will be running two free paper boat making workshops during the October School holiday’s, Tuesday 1st and 8th October 1-3pm bring the kids and create your boats together! The annual treasure hunt run by Jeff Thomson is back again, and this year our new addition… Decorated Mailboxes! A great way for the community to join in and be involved in the Art Trail, we will be giving a prize for the ‘best dressed’ letter box! Construct, paint, create or decorate! The possibilities are endless. Must be completed by Friday 23rd October!
At the Art Centre this September is our member’s exhibition, 2nd – 26th September opening night 4th September 5-7pm all welcome.
