Ballance Farm Environment Awards success

Ross and Eleanore Webber, Supreme Winners

Big congratulations to South Head farmers Ross and Eleanore Webber and to South Head operation Ôtakanini Topû Inc. for their prestigious wins at the Auckland Ballance Farm Environment Awards held on the 27 March.
Ross and Eleanore, who run a progressive 195ha beef farm with their son Matthew, were thrilled to come out Supreme Winners, and to also win the Predator Free Farm Award and the Water Force Integrated Management Award. On the podium with Eleanore to receive the Supreme Award, Ross concluded his speech with the heartfelt sentiment “New Zealand is the winner.”

Dr Stu Brown, Hill Laboratories, Awa Hudson, Ray Monk, Glenn Wilcox

Ôtakanini Topû Inc, a 2860-hectare sheep, beef and forestry business owned by multiple stakeholders and masterfully led by Ray Monk, won the Beef and Lamb New Zealand Livestock Award and the Hill Laboratories Agri-Science Award.
On Awards night accolades were also given to Helensville’s Gaylene Ashton for her sterling work organising the event.
