The third CHILL in the VILLE music festival held on 9 December, organised by Andy and Wendy Cummings in collaboration with North West Country, along with Dion and the team at Parakai Springs, was an amazing day of live music from both up-and-coming musicians in the Kaipara region and legends of the NZ music industry including Anika Moa, Jimmy Christmas, Kara Gordon and the Groove Diggers, who enjoyed the opportunity to perform in front of an enthusiastic audience.
Two dollars from every ticket was donated to local charity: The Helensville Angel Fund. The Angel Fund was established in response to a growing awareness of a need to assist families with financial hardship. The funds raised at the CHILL in the VILLE festivals have been granted to children in need for sports fees, school shoes, warm clothes and petrol vouchers.
The Parakai Springs was an amazing venue for the outdoor sunny festival with the hot pools, slides and activities for the kids. There were several food vendors including The White Lady and local beverages by Liberty Brewing and Hunting Lodge Winery.
The organisers would like to thank Dion Tilson and his team at Parakai Springs, and the crew from North West Country – this day would not have been possible without their support.
