The popular bike decorating competition has been expanded to include prams, pushchairs and buggies, plus mobility scooters. So an opportunity for many.
Otherwise you can contribute by volunteering for the many roles necessary to make the event a success. Volunteers are needed at various times between 8am and 4pm. Even half an hour is helpful.

Santa at RSA for photos from 9.30am. Bouncy castle, face painting, icecream and entertainment in Creek Lane from 9.30am
Parade ends at Museum where there will be entertainment, food, face painting, lolly scramble, bouncy castle and Santa from 1pm. Harcourts lolly scramble at 2pm. Tours of the Museum will be available.
Ben Lummis returns to perform and MC the afternoon entertainment. Troy Kingi, recent Silver Scrolls Best Song finalist and recorded locally, will headline the entertainment, complemented by Village 90, an Auckland group. Husband and wife classical guitar and cello duo Heartstrings will perform. Other entertainers will add to the variety, with something for everyone. Of particular note is the 3pm kapahaka performance by local Kahurangi Ki Kaipara.
Christmas Colouring Competition
This year South Kaipara Rotary are organising an expanded competition, including all ages. Preschool, 5-8, 9-12, 13-18, 19+. Children will receive prizes of Paper Plus Vouchers, teens and adults Vouchers from Helensville Unichem Pharmacy.
Entry forms will be available at schools, and Library, or via southkaipararotary@gmail.com . Prizes will be given out at the Helensville Christmas Festival concert at the Museum afternoon of 8th December.

Gazebos, marquees needed to borrow for Christmas concert at Museum after Christmas Parade 8th December. Branded is acceptable – an opportunity for promotion in return for contributing to a community event.
Required to be in place at Museum by 9am. We will have volunteers on site. May be retrieved around 4pm. Please have some ID attached to item.
