Posies to Spread a Little Love
The October meeting of the Helensville Floral Art Club saw 10 members come together for a lovely community project, making posies to brighten someone’s day.
A total of 70 posies were created using flowers and foliage gathered from members’ own gardens. Once completed, the posies were scattered around Helensville, left in playgrounds, at bus stops, on tables and seats outside cafés, along walkways, and at RSA Drake Village for the elderly residents to enjoy.
Each posy was made with care and love, with the hope of bringing a smile to whoever discovered it. This thoughtful gesture was a wonderful way for club members to share their love of flowers with the wider community and spread a little happiness throughout Helensville.
A big thank you to all the members who contributed their garden flowers, foliage and time to make this special project possible. Sometimes, the simplest gestures can make the biggest difference!
