Helensville Library and Service Centre update for October

Thank you to those who attended our Adult Learners Week and Dying Matters Week events. We may have had small groups – but the discussions and sharing of experiences were expansive and important.

We loved being able to open a special study space for Kaipara College’s mock exams week. We hope to do the same in future. If you know of any students who used the space, we would love feedback so we can improve our set-up.

Spring School Holidays:

Monday 5 October, 10am to 12noon: Movie time! Movie tbc.

Our regular programmes will run throughout the holidays, but with a bird and / or dinosaur theme.

We will also have a New Zealand birds scavenger hunt.

Arts in the Ville:

Helensville Library will be open on Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm, over Labour Weekend, as part of Arts in the Ville.

We will be hosting the fibre artists, led by Sharon Dooney.

Coral Reef Installation: Contribute to our knitted / crocheted coral reef installation. You’re welcome to pick up suggested patterns before the weekend.

Tiny Art Exhibition: Pick up a tiny canvas and create your own piece of art to be exhibited over the weekend! Canvases will be available for pick up from Saturday 10 October, with art pieces to be dropped off by Friday 23 October.
