When a person comes into Hospice care, they are not simply a patient with a diagnosis; they are an individual with their own unique needs. In addition to addressing physical symptoms, we holistically support the entire person, the people they love, and those who are caring for them. And we do this for almost 800 people each year, completely free of charge.
However, every year we need to raise more than $4 million in essential community fundraising in order to continue providing our services for free. This Hospice Awareness Week, let’s stand together to ensure everyone in West Auckland facing end of life receives the practical, physical, emotional and spiritual compassionate care they deserve.
