Never one to let the opportunity of lockdown go past, Kaukapakapa resident Megan Paterson spent the time on a photographic project.  Over many hours of research, she put together a collection of local vintage images from Muriwai, Karekare, Piha, Te Henga, Hobsonville Airbase and more.
Assisted by local photographer, Colin Lunt, who has digitally restored the photos, the collection will be displayed in the Kaukapakapa library.  Prints can be purchased either framed or unframed and come with description and attribution details.
Great as a gift idea, the sepia tones and local imagery will add the perfect touch of nostalgia to any interior.  For more details contact Megan, threehorses@xtra.co.nz or 021 95017.  Library open in conjunction with the Kaukapakapa Village Market.
