Kindred Family Services is pleased to announce that from 5 August 2026, it will be operating from its new premises at 993 Waitakere Road, Kumeu.
For more than six years, Kindred Family Services has provided vital support to individuals and whanau experiencing family harm throughout the Northwest Rodney region. While the organisation’s location is changing, our commitment to supporting the community remains unwavering.
Kindred Family Services provides free and confidential services to people across the region, from Taupaki to Makarau and everywhere in between. Services include family harm support, safety planning, advocacy, refuge, social work support, counselling, programmes and therapeutic services for tamariki, rangatahi and adults.
Executive Director Barbara Williams says the move marks an exciting new chapter for our organisation.
“Our new premises will provide a modern, welcoming space that better supports our team and the people we work alongside every day. While we are leaving Helensville, our commitment to the communities we serve remains exactly the same. We will continue to provide outreach and community services across the entire Northwest Rodney area and remain dedicated to ensuring individuals and whânau can access support when they need it most.”
The new centre has been carefully chosen to provide a more central location for the organisation’s service delivery area, enabling improved access for both community and clients while supporting the future growth and sustainability of services.
Kindred Family Services acknowledges the support of the Helensville community over the years and looks forward to continuing its important work from its new base in Kumeu.
Family harm can affect anyone. No one should have to face it alone. Kindred Family Services remains here to walk alongside individuals and whânau on their journey towards safety, healing and wellbeing.
