Tai Chi Connects Residents at Craigweil House

Every Wednesday afternoon, residents at Craigweil House Home and Hospital gather for a relaxing and rejuvenating Tai Chi session. Led by a skilled instructor, the class focuses on slow, flowing movements that promote flexibility, balance, and mental clarity, offering both physical and mental benefits.

The sessions are tailored to be accessible to all residents, with modifications provided for those who need extra support. As participants move through the postures, they are encouraged to focus on deep breathing and mindfulness, creating a calming atmosphere for everyone involved.

“This weekly session is a fantastic way for our residents to stay active and improve their overall wellbeing,” said the diversional Therapist. “It’s been wonderful to see how much our residents enjoy and benefit from Tai Chi, and we look forward to continuing these sessions every week.”

Residents leave each session feeling relaxed and refreshed, and many have expressed interest in making Tai Chi a regular part of their routine. Strengthening the sense of community within Craigweil House.

Come and see the activities, meet our wonderful residents and staff, and feel the warmth that makes Craigweil House a special place. We’d love to show you around and share what makes our home truly unique. PH 09 420 8277
