The Ace Cuthers Memorial Trophy
Tu Tangi Ora Waka Ama
I have just finished a week long tournament with 120 local paddlers at Lake Karapiro. We have paddlers from 6years old to 50 years old competing. We were awarded the Ace Cuthers Memorial Trophy, a beautiful taonga which is 3.5 metre long for club spirit throughout the weekend.
We had 6 teams and 3 individuals make the finals.
A few stats for you; 16000 paddlers over the week, 1869 teams, 68 clubs.
We have so many wonderful photos of us in action. I have included 2 photos of my team, the Awaroa Aunties and one of the taonga we received.
Congratulations also go to Horouta Waka Hoe of Gisborne for winning the Club Points

The Awaroa Aunties in action
