In the last few weeks an amazing number of people have gone out of their way to help others. From the ultimate sacrifice of our two valiant firemen, Dave van Zwanenberg and Craig Stevens, who gave their lives for others, to Andy Cummings who let Facebook followers know they could use his walk in freezer if they had no power to run their own - we did and managed to save ALL the contents of both our freezers, and to Mark Dennis who arranged sandbags at the Helensville Primary School and opened the School Hall for displaced people on the night of the cyclone.
I am sure our readers would appreciate the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ and let the community know about all the ‘Good Sorts’ we have around us.
