Helensville – Parakai - Mill Rd – Parkhurst Rd, Helensville/Parakai. 45–60 minutes one way. A series of reserves and walkways starting with a circular track at Helensville River Reserve - (old tip site), along cycle/walkway to Parakai, turn right into reserve by Te Moau Stream (playground in Te Moau Reserve). Follow stream to Wharf Reserve and back into Parakai Ave.
Helensville Riverside - Creek Lane, Helensville. 30–45mins. Main entrance from Creek Lane. Boardwalk along river edge past former dairy factory to Mill Rd. Also a shorter loop grass walkway.

Lake Ototoa - 31.3km from Helensville along South Head Road and left into Donohue Road. Short track to dune lake stocked with trout. Good for kayaking. Possible to walk around lake depending on lake levels.
